For the TVNZ 1 brand idents, we wanted to create a journey through all parts of the country to connect the brand with the NZ people and their stories wherever they lived. To do this we brought the logo to life as a real interactive object. It was important for us to subtly give it a personality by the way it moved interacted with people, almost like it was another regular kiwi working its way throughout New Zealand.
The shape of the logo and ball like movement has then been used throughout the rest of the imagery package. The colour palette and typography has been kept restrained to make the shows characters pop and give the shows a filmic premium feel.
